The world has decades, not centuries before it hits the climate change tipping point.

According to a new report from 19 prominent scientists, including climate change guru James Hansen, sea levels could rise several metres as soon as 50 years from now, unleashing devastating storms and leaving most of the world's coastal communities helpless.

The report was released today, and the time to act is now.

Fortuitously, National Observer launched its new Kickstarter campaign, Reports from the Race Against Climate Change only hours after the report was released. Like you, we understand the pressing need for critical reporting on the greatest environmental threat facing the world today.

But time is running out for our campaign too — we have only 29 days to reach our target of $60,000, which will pay for a year of visually-stunning, breaking, and investigative storytelling.

Pledge today, and you could receive one of our fantastic Kickstarter campaign rewards, ranging from a one-of-a-kind coffee cup emblazoned with our original Climate Man character, to a luxury cruise through British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest.
