Ottawa paid to keep pimps away from First Nations fire evacuees

The federal government paid for round-the-clock security to try keeping "pimps" out of Winnipeg evacuation hotels after wildfires displaced First Nations from eastern Manitoba for three months last year.

The Canadian Red Cross said more than 4,400 people evacuated from seven First Nations during various wildfires, to hotels in Winnipeg, Brandon and Thompson.
