There’s a First Nation near La Loche and the community has a large aboriginal presence, but it is not on a reserve, so Health Canada says the provinceneeds to provide mental−health support.

Some challenges include a higher-risk of schizophrenia and depression.

“The community hasn’t done as good of a job projecting how bad climate impacts would be at 1.2 C,” one scientist said.
