Joel Burcat is a writer and environmental lawyer. He has published short stories and two environmental legal thrillers: Drink to Every Beast (2019) and Amid Rage (2021). His novel, Strange Fire, about fracking, is due out in 2022. He was the 2019 lawyer of the year in environmental litigation (for Central Pennsylvania, Best Lawyers in America). He is also the founding co-editor of two treatises on environmental and energy law.
