Francis is a journalist who lives in Sǫǫ̀mbak’è (Yellowknife) on Chief Drygeese territory with his fiancée and overly-energetic cat, Fyo. He's called the North home since 2019 and has covered communities across Denendeh. He's originally from rural eastern Ontario, and is fluent in English and French. (He also knows how to say "good morning" in Tłı̨chǫ: K'omǫǫ̀dǫǫ̀ hoı̨zı̨.) When not reporting, he's either camping in the NWT's backcountry, playing pond hockey, or setting up one of his 100 board games.
