Jillian Maguire has been a B.C. teacher for over 25 years. She has been researching the BC Teachers’ Pension Plan and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation for the past two years and is a director for the Car Free Stanley Park Society. She has taken action with Extinction Rebellion and Last Generation Canada, protesting against Canada’s inaction in the face of catastrophic climate collapse. Jillian is committed to doing whatever is in her power to attain a livable future for the over 5,000 students she has taught throughout her career, and she is running for BCTF president at the 2024 BCTF AGM, which wraps up March 19.
