He has researched and written about emerging market and global themes, including the wider significance of the shale revolution and the impact of US energy independence.

Kingsmill has an MA in history from Cambridge University, qualified as an accountant (CIMA), and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
