Sadhu Aufochs Johnston is a global leader in greening cities. He has worked inside government serving as the City Manager of Vancouver, BC; as the head of the Dept of Environment in Chicago, and was the first cabinet-level green cities staff person in a North American city when he became Chicago’s Chief Environmental Officer. He’s also worked outside government to support urban greening by founding the Cleveland Green Building Coalition and co-founding the Urban Sustainability Directors Network. He is the co-author of the Guide to Greening Cities. He is an avid wood worker and most days also an avid father of two daughters, and husband to Manda Aufochs Gillespie.
