Sadie DeCoste is a youth delegate to COP23 with the BC Council for International Cooperation. She grew up in unceded Squamish, Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh territory, and now studies at Minerva Schools and interns with the Green Climate Fund's Independent Evaluation Unit.

Canada boasted about its leadership at the annual United Nations climate conference after spearheading the Canada-UK Powering Past Coal Alliance. The alliance includes more than 25 countries and sub-national governments pledging to phase out coal by 2030.
