About Vanessa Corkal
Vanessa Corkal is a policy advisor with the International Institute for Sustainable Development, where she focuses on climate change and topics such as fossil fuel subsidies, just transition, green recovery, and sustainable agriculture. She holds a master of climate change from the University of Waterloo and has previously worked with the Prairie Climate Centre (University of Winnipeg) and the First Nation Adapt program (Crown-Indigenous Relations & Northern Affairs). Originally from Saskatoon, and prior to shifting to policy work, she worked in documentary film with a focus on social and environmental projects, including with international media company VICE and Cree-owned Rezolution Pictures.
