Zahra Khozema produces TikTok videos at Canada’s National Observer.

Her curiosity and career have taken her across the planet. She’s been part of a documentary production crew in Honduras, blogged her way through Brazil, taught English in Egypt, launched an issue of a print magazine in the U.K., and worked at several national newsrooms in Canada.

Most recently, she worked on The Globe and Mail’s personal finance podcast Stress Test and its daily news podcast The Decibel.

Zahra has a BA in media studies from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a master's in journalism and communications from the University of Western Ontario. She’s most interested in stories about identity, culture and politics. In addition to English, Zahra is fluent in Urdu and Gujarati.
