Kristian Ferreira
As a community leader Kristian Ferreira has received several awards for his involvement, amassing more than six thousand hours of recorded volunteerism assisting marginalized communities. In 2017, Ferreira made the conscious decision to study law at the University of Leeds to gain experience in life and academia from one of Britain’s Ivy-League equivalents in the birthplace of common law.
In 2019, Ferreira was elected community liaison chair for the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers and association representative in the Law Society of Ontario Equity Advisory Group, and the Roundtable of Diversity Association meetings. Ferreira competed at the national and international levels in soccer and track & field. He also enjoys preparing and participating in orchestral performances in community events with the Hamilton Youth Steel Orchestra.
